Meet Dr. Geraldine O’Mara
Dr. Geraldine O’Mara is the owner of Emerald Isle Dental Studio and a dentist who leads with empathy, clarity, and a genuine commitment to whole-body wellness. Her path into dentistry began early, assisting a local dentist in high school and seeing firsthand how much a compassionate provider can change someone’s experience. That lesson still shapes the way she practices today.
She completed her DDS at the University of Michigan and went on to a hospital-based General Practice Residency at Michigan Medicine, where she gained valuable experience caring for medically complex patients. After several years in the Midwest, she made her way back to California and settled in San Diego, a city she’s loved since childhood.
Dr. O’Mara is dedicated to ongoing growth, digital dentistry, and comprehensive care that supports both oral and overall health. Most of all, she’s passionate about helping anxious or previously discouraged patients feel safe, understood, and confident again.
